Stimulating Growing Minds, LCPA Academics and The Abeka Curriculum
It is never too early to start to start your child’s education. In our Infant and Toddler programs we teach a proprietary curriculum that has been specifically designed for infants and toddlers. It focuses on development of core muscle groups, fine and gross motor skills and language acquisition.
In our K2, K3 and K4 programs we teach the Abeka Curriculum, an accredited Christian based academic program. The Abeka Curriculum teaches age-appropriate knowledge needed for academic growth from a Christian perspective to instill good character and moral values.Scripture and biblical principles are used throughout the curriculum to emphasize or illustrate concepts. The Abeka Curriculum has been used for more than 40 years and its proven approach to teaching helps teachers teach and students learn. With Abeka you can count on high academics AND a biblical worldview so children are better prepared to make a difference in the world.
Learning Through Play
In a child’s early years “playtime” is an important element for discovery and cognitive development. At Lee Christian Preschool Academy children learn through hands on play and structured activities. Our classrooms are organized into "learning environments." These are the places within our classroom where the children can find the toys and materials related by theme, interest, and skills. These activities and toys can be used independently by the children, or with teacher direction, to reinforce and enrich skills and concepts they need. Learning environments are an excellent way to individualize the curriculum to meet the varying needs of young children. We believe play is the best way for children to learn how to accomplish skills, feel confident and independent. We offer age-appropriate activities that meet the developmental needs of each individual child in our care.
